Carta para a Host Family

Oiii pessoal.

Hoje resolvi colocar a minha carta para a host family aqui no blog, lembrem-se: É só para se inspirar! Não para fazer igual né gente?!

Sei que é um pouco difícil, a gente não sabe nem o que dizer as vezes, mas parem tudo e pensem bastante no que vão dizer, apesar de que eu acho que as famílias nem tem saco pra ler todas as cartas. uashuahsuhas Ainda assim, é melhor prevenir do que remediar.

Dear host family,

Thank you for your interest in me. My name is Dannielly and I am 21 years old. I live with my family in Extremoz, it's a city near to the capital Natal, Brazil and I’m an English student at UFRN. Extremoz is a great place to live because it has many schools, trees and a few beaches. I live with my parents and my older brother, He is unemployed his name is Denilson and he is 39 years old. I have a older sister too, her name is Denise, she lives with her husband Jorge and she is the mother of the cutest child I know, my nephew Jorginho, who is 8 years old. He is autistic but he has mild symptoms. Not a problem for me that he’s autistic. He only has difficult in speaking and communicating with other people. He speaks, but not very well. Sometimes he gets nervous and throws toys or himself on the floor, cries and screams, but attention and affection make him calm down again. Nevertheless he is a lovely boy, joyful, amorous and very funny. He loves singing music about numbers, he has learned to count to 10 and he sings all the time. To see him counting with his fingers and dance is very, very cute and I laugh a lot with him. We have a nice relationship and value each other. I say with absolutely sure that we are a happy family and blessed for God. My parents always taught me to be honest person, worth my family and other people, to value the small things in life and the importance of study. Everything that I am today, I thank them.

                 I have a boyfriend, his name is Mykael. He is 20 years old. He is studying administration in the same university that I am studying English, UFRN. We know each other since we was 8 years old, I taked care of his sister Milena in the Church, she is 12 years old, she is pretty and an amazing friend. Mykael supports me with my decision to become au pair in another country, he knows that it'll be a long time apart, but he undertands that will improve my career of being a English teacher.

                 I can say that part of my soul is still like a child, I know the value that a child has, in their funny strange questions but usually very intelligent, to see their smiles and wonderful way to be naive. In my opinion, children need people that are sensible to understand their moments of sorrows and joys. I think children should never been underestimated, as they need to be treated with respect and taken seriously. I enjoy spending time with them, entertaining them and helping with their age problems and curiosity.

                 I want to be an au pair because I know how to take care of children. I believe that this program will be very important for my career as an English teacher, it will help me to be fluent in the English language and also important because I will know a new culture and new situations in my life. I know that this is a work program and I’m ready for it. I love working and I can provide for my host family flexible of schedule, responsibility and independence.

                 Currently, I am an English teacher and I have groups of children from 5 - 10 years old, a group of teenagers and also teach adults. But my favorite group is from 5 - 10 years old, because they are very energetic, exciting and creative, like I am. It's a difficult experience, because they are boys and girls in different ages and it's very hard to find something that matters to all of them at the same time. So, I decided to help each one individually and at the fun moments, I helped all of them at the same time. I always try to change the games to entertain. That is an incredible experience and we became good friends. My activities with them are everything you can imagine. To get their attention, I have to use all my creativity to play different games and teach and I also learn a lot from them.

                         I had groups of children (9 – 10 years old) in the church and I taught them for 8 year. Now, I have a group of teenagers (14 – 17 years old). This is a voluntary work and I teach about the bible and the importance in having a good character. I teach then to sing too, I'm a volunteer singer in Catholic Church. They love it. They became my friends. Sometimes, we hang out together and we have a lot of fun.

                         Sometimes, I take care of my Godson Miguel, he is 2 years old and her mother is my best friend. When he comes to my house I had to do activities with him all the time because he is very active, we dance in the room, paint designs, do arts and crafts, read stories, we walk in the neighborhood, play hide and seek and play with clay. depending on the weather we do another activities. When’s raining I do indoor activities. Miguel loves to sing; I put childhood songs for us to dance and sing together, it’s very fun and he loves it. We paint, play with lego; I read books showing him the pictures, he loves to see the images.

When it’s sunny, I do outdoor activities. I take him to ride his little bicycle on the neighborhood, play soccer in the backyard, or take him to the beach to play and swim.

                         I consider myself a responsible person; I fit easily to new places and people, I’m flexible, lovely, calm, honest, energetic and very fun who loves children. I love adventures and I know how to value everything that I have, I love to teach, and make new friends. I’m an optimistic person and I try to see the positive side of every situation. I am very kind and I like to treat people with respect and consideration.

                          In my free time, I listen to music, ride bicycle, I meet my friends go on a picnic or go for a walk. In summer time I love to go to the beach. I especially love to read. Some books mean a lot to me and I often read the same book more than once. I like traveling, to know new places and I love art in general, I visit historical monuments and I go to the theater and dance performances every year.

                          This is just a little about me. I think words are not enough to describe something such complex as a person. I tried in a few words to describe opinions and interests, but words are not enough sometimes, what matters is person’s essence.
